Rediscovering Erdstein

I first began looking into Leon Erdstein in 2020 after a conversation with my father about his old music teacher from his teenage years. A Google search returned nothing about him, and digging deeper revealed that there was almost no information to be found about Erdstein in the public domain. A Geni ancestry page showed his birth and death dates, his place of burial, and relatives.

My father gave me a brochure that Erdstein had made to promote himself in the 1940s, of which he had kept a copy. The brochure discussed his career as a teacher, choir director, and most importantly, composer.
